📜 OCS Athan - Privacy Policy

OCS Athan ("we", "our", "us") built the OCS Athan app as a free (or freemium) application.
This SERVICE is provided by OCS Mandalay and is intended for use as is.
This page is used to inform users regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information if anyone decided to use our Service.
1. Information Collection and Use
Most prayer-time and Qibla features do not require an account. When an existing mosque administrator signs in, the app transmits the administrator username and password to our server for authentication. Administrator accounts are created outside the app; the app does not offer account registration.
The app uses third-party services that collect and share data, including:
- Google Analytics for Firebase in older releases (removed starting with version 1.0.3, build 20). Prayer notifications are scheduled locally and do not require Firebase.
- Google AdMob, which remains enabled to display advertising
These third-party services may collect information like:
- Device and other identifiers, including advertising ID and app set ID, and device information such as model and operating system version
- App interactions, such as app launches and interactions with advertisements, and diagnostic information such as loading time and performance
- IP address, which advertising and analytics services may use to estimate approximate location
2. Location Information
The app may request access to your device's location to accurately determine prayer times and Qibla direction.
This data is used only locally on your device and is not stored or shared with anyone.
3. Log Data
In case of an error in the app, we collect data (through third-party products) called Log Data.
This may include information such as your device's Internet Protocol ("IP") address, device name, operating system version, app configuration, and the time/date of the error.
4. Cookies
This app does not use cookies directly.
Third-party advertising services, and analytics services in older releases, may use cookies or similar identifiers to provide advertising, measure performance, and prevent fraud.
5. Service Providers
We may employ third-party companies and individuals to:
- Facilitate our service
- Provide the service on our behalf
- Perform service-related tasks
- Assist in analyzing how our app is used
Google Mobile Ads collects and shares data for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention. Google processes this data under its applicable privacy policies and terms. Administrator login information is used by our service for authentication and account management; it is not intentionally provided to advertising services.
6. Security
We value your trust in providing your personal information, thus we strive to use commercially acceptable means of protection.
Google advertising and analytics SDKs encrypt their network traffic using TLS. The current app configuration uses an HTTP connection for the prayer-time and administrator API, so we cannot claim that all app data is encrypted in transit. Do not assume that administrator credentials are protected by HTTPS in the current release.
We do not currently provide a dedicated process for users to request deletion of their data. Clearing app storage removes local preferences but does not delete data held by our server or third-party services.

We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of these sites.
8. Children's Privacy
Our app does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If we discover that a child has provided personal data, we will delete it immediately.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time.
You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes.
Changes are effective immediately after they are posted.
